What is Messianic?

What is Messianic Means?

mesçˈanik / adjective messianic - of or relating to the Messiah.
Inspired by hope and belief in a messiah.
Messiah - the English translation of "Mashiach", the Hebrew word meaning
 "The Anointed One".

The name Christ comes from the Greek "Xristos" - The "Anointed".
(Messiah /Mashiach) "Messianic": Christian and Jewish groups who adopt
certain Jewish practices in order to live out an earlier, purer form of Christianity.

The Messianic movement combines the Christian belief that Jesus is the Messiah
with elements of Judaism and Jewish tradition.
The Messianic worship is patterned after the ancient style outlined by King David
in Psalms (;149-150) with music and dance, including flags and banners.

Messianic Christians are part of a fast growing global movement
Who believe that it is the historic and the Biblical ways that matter most (Jer.6:16).
Not only because it is written in the original and ancient Five Books of Moses,
called the Torah in Hebrew, and the Pentateuch in Greek,
but because they also foreshow the future hope of the return of the Messiah
bringing His Messianic Kingdom to all humanity (Isa.66:23; Zec.14:16-19).
First Century Belivers In Yeshua
Two thousand years ago Jesus (Yeshua in Hebrew meaning "Salvation" -
as Jesus was called during his time on earth).
was a Jew living among Jewish people.

Jesus (Yeshua) kept the Law of Moses (The Torah).
He studied the Jewish Scriptures that many now know as the "Old Testament,"
and read them aloud at the local synagogue on Sabath (Shabbat) (Luke 4:16).
He was called rabbi (Teacher/Master) by his followers.

The first Christians were Jews organized into Messianic congregations.
Matthew 5:17: "Think not that I came to abolish the law and the prophets:
I have come not to abolish them but to fulfill them."
Apostle Paul (Rabbi Sha'ul):  They are the Israelites, and to them belong the Son-ship,
the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises;
to them belong the patriarchs, and of their race, according to the flesh,
is the Messiah!" Romans 9:4-5
* The Messianic Sign: A symbol of the early Messianic Christian movement.
It is patterned after emblems found on a number of artifacts
believed to have been used by first century Jewish followers of Christ,
combining early Christian and Jewish symbols!
These early Christian signs; the Fish, the Star of David and the Menorah
symbolizes the foundation of the Christian faith.

It consists of a fish emblem intertwined with a Star of David, symbolizing the
harmony of Jewish and Christian beliefs, the foundation of the
Christian faith and the shared values of the Old and New Testimonies.

16 For if the first fruit is holy, the lump is also holy; and if the root is holy, so are the branches.

17 And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree,
were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the
root and fatness of the olive tree,

18 do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, remember that you do
not support the root, but the root supports you.

19 You will say then, “Branches were broken off that I might be grafted in.”

20 Well said. Because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith.
Do not be haughty, but fear.

21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either.

22 Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell,
severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness.
Otherwise you also will be cut off.

23 And they also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in,
for God is able to graft them in again.

24 For if you were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and were grafted
contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these,
who are natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?
25 For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery,
lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has
happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.

26 And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written:
“ The Deliverer will come out of Zion,
And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob;
27 For this is My covenant with them,
When I take away their sins.”
(Romans 11;16-26)
