These are well made and the wood selection is quite attractive. I would call this a "light" wood rather than a "dark" one. Small brass loop hanger on back (held with one brad) can easily be removed if you wish to inlay the [flat-backed] cross in a larger piece of wood or furniture (as I have).

A very handsome cross

This is very well made and nicely finished, not a cheap piece of left-over wood. No warping. It has a small brass loop on the back for hanging. Very nice.
