Rooftop; The Old City. View to the belltower of the Church of the Redeemer and on the left the Cathedral of St. James; the centre of the Armenian Compound in the Old City, it belongs to the Orthodox Armenian Church. It commemorates the martyrdom of the brother of John the Evangelist, James the Elder, who was decapitated in 44 A.D. by order of Herod Agrippa 1st.
